FAQ

AUSMV Australia is an independent Vehicle distributor that supplies vehicles not offered by the Factory Backed OEM networks. We are an Australian Owned company and have been supplying vehicles for over 10 years, long before the OEMs entered the market.

We have come a long way since the beginning and are constantly improving our product and processes to give our customers the best possible experience.

AUSMV’s premium automotive network has two major differences from the traditional dealership model:

  1. We offer premium trim levels and equipment that isn’t offered by the local distributors.
  2. Our premium network ensures the same exceptional experience nationally. From our consistent and transparent sales process, to our highly reputable service and warranty teams, we always put the customer first.

SCD Remanufactured Vehicles (www.scd-rv.com.au) remanufactures vehicles to right-hand drive for AUSMV. SCD-RV is a member of the BOSSCAP Group alongside AUSMV.

When it comes to safety critical systems like steering and brakes, our vehicles are remanufactured with steering transfer technology which retains OEM engine bay configuration. Our engineers have conducted extensive testing against a Factory LHD vehicle at the Lang Lang proving grounds in Victoria which has confirmed OEM steering, braking and suspension performance.

Yes. AUSMV vehicles are listed on Glass’s Guide, a database for insurers and financiers to accurately assess vehicle values.

This means that customers have access to competitive rates that reflect the vehicle’s true value.

AUSMV also has its own in-house finance department.

The effects from COVID-19 on the supply chain has impacted the trucking industry worldwide.

In instances where inland transport has been significantly delayed, we have instructed our transport partners to “drive” the vehicles to the various shipping ports to keep vehicles from being stagnant for weeks on end. We made this decision to help reduce delays and get the vehicle into your hands sooner.

As a result, there is a small percentage of vehicles arriving in Australia with higher than usual kilometres on the odometer.

It is important to note that every vehicle spec sheet comes with the disclaimer “not all North American features are Remanufactured for Australia”. In the case when a North American feature has been deleted or is not functional rest assured that the decision was made after careful consideration by the engineering team.

The engineering team makes decisions based on the following criteria:

  • Safety
  • Reliability
  • Technical ability
  • Parts Supply
  • Production line suitably
  • Customer experience

Every vehicle supplier makes their own decisions based on their own reasons, hence why there are differences in the marketplace. Our offering is not the same as the OEM backed networks but we pride ourselves on giving customers choice of different vehicle models and customer focused backup support.
